3 ml, 5 ml or 10 ml: which decant size should you choose?
A quick guide to our three sizes: how long each lasts, what each one is for, and the cost per ml.
All three sizes are the same perfume, filled by hand from the same sealed bottle. Only the amount changes, so the choice is about how sure you are of the scent.
The three sizes
- 3 ml, around 30 sprays: for discovering a perfume. Enough to wear it two or three times and decide. The lowest price to try.
- 5 ml, around 50 sprays: for getting to know it. Enough to wear it for a couple of weeks and see how it behaves in different weather and moods.
- 10 ml, around 100 sprays: for a perfume you already love. The lowest price per ml, and it lasts for weeks of regular wear.
Spray counts are approximate, at around 0.1 ml per spray. Your sprayer and how you spray change the number.
The cost per ml
The bigger the size, the less you pay for each ml. Khamrah by Lattafa costs EGP 33 per ml in 3 ml, EGP 26 in 5 ml and EGP 21 in 10 ml. Aventus costs EGP 253 per ml in 3 ml and EGP 181 in 10 ml.
How to choose
- You have never worn it: 3 ml.
- You liked it and want to try it at work, in the heat and in the evening: 5 ml.
- You know it is your scent: 10 ml.
- You are comparing several perfumes: a 3 ml of each.
